Sophie comes from a strong background in the outdoors and brings her passion for promoting women’s cycling and in particular women’s mountain biking. She organises various events including the local Rapha Women’s 100; North Wales ride, a nationwide road event, each year as well as our hugely successful Juliana ladies demo day in the summer of 2016 to launch the brand in our shop. She regularly visits the Alps to sample the roads and mtb trails and has got a good tick list of cols in the bag already including Mont Ventoux. At home she rides all over the hills and trails of North Wales, Lake District and Scotland and is always on the hunt for new terrain.
Current Bikes: Juliana Furtardo, Whyte 909, Wilier GTR SL
Favourite Bike: I love my Juliana Furtado!
Favourite Terrain: Challenging climbs and fast flowy descents, road or mtb
Favourite Road/Trail/Area ridden: Col de la Croix de Fer has to have been the most stunning road ride I have done so far out in the Alps, and I love mountain biking in the Tweed Valley in Scotland but you can’t beat the road riding and mtb’ing in North Wales, we’re pretty lucky to have it all on our doorstep!
Couldn’t live without? Bikes, countryside and mountains plus coffee and cake!
