The Nano Flex Pro Race Bib Shorts are the latest iteration of Castelli's Omloop thermal bib shorts.

Taking inspiration from pro riders cutting down their knee warmers at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, to run just above the knee, the Omloop shorts were cut longer than those on normal bibs, with an extra 10cm of fabric adding warmth. This design also did away with the need to add restrictive gripper elastic.

These new bib shorts take on the same idea but with an updated design, for even greater versatility. The Nano Flex Pro Race Bib Shorts are made from Castelli's Nano Flex 3G fabric, which offers the same warmth, softness, and breathability as the fabric used in the Omloops, but with an added water repellent. This makes the bibs ideal for both riding on cool, dry day and in wet weather.

Reduced seaming means less points where water can enter the shorts and minimises abrasion. The mesh bibs don't add warmth, so you can dress your upper body for the conditions with having to worry about moisture build up.

The bib shorts use Castelli's Progetto X² Air seamless seat pad, which features two isolated layers that work in tandem with your body and saddle to eliminate friction, while still offering substantial cushioning where it's needed most.
